My Story
Art has always been my way of making sense of the world; of holding onto moments, memories, and dreams. I started drawing when I was little, just for myself. But over time, it became something bigger. Now, I paint, sketch, and create pieces that carry a bit of my heart in them.
Through this website, I’m sharing that journey with you, offering prints of my original artworks, along with art-inspired accessories and merchandise like T-shirts and notebooks. Every piece here is made with love and intention, and I hope they bring a little joy and color into your world.

Stories, inspirations, and moments behind my art
This one is a little behind-the-scenes story of the wooden box I painted a traditional Alpona art in the video . . . a kind of commentary where I walk you through the process, the inspiration, and all the little details that made it special. A mix of tradition, paint, and personal touch.
It’s Kojagari Purnima here in West Bengal, which is a full moon night filled with the festivities of Kojagari Lakshmi Puja! This special day is all about honoring Goddess Lakshmi, the one who blesses us with wealth and prosperity. This year, I decided to celebrate by creating a traditional Bangla Pattachitra on a terracotta plate.
Pattachitra is an ancient and celebrated art form that comes from the states of Odisha and West Bengal in eastern India. Known for its elaborate detailing, vibrant use of colours, and deeply rooted connections to mythological and religious stories.
Hi, I’m Ankita. I am so excited to welcome you to my blog – Brushstrokes. Here I’ll be sharing my artworks and more interestingly the stories behind them, and glimpses into my life as an artist and traveler.
