Hey everyone! I am super excited to share what I have been up to today. It’s Kojagari Purnima here in West Bengal, which is a full moon night filled with the festivities of Kojagari Lakshmi Puja! This special day is all about honoring Goddess Lakshmi, the one who blesses us with wealth and prosperity.

Hey everyone! I am super excited to share what I have been up to today. It’s Kojagari Purnima here in West Bengal, which is a full moon night filled with the festivities of Kojagari Lakshmi Puja! This special day is all about honoring Goddess Lakshmi, the one who blesses us with wealth and prosperity.

Lakshmi Sora PattachitraThis year, I decided to celebrate by creating a traditional Bangla Pattachitra (Bengal style pattachitra) on Sora, a terracotta plate. I absolutely love Pattachitra art! The colours are so vibrant, and the intricate designs tell stories that connect us to our rich culture. As I painted, I felt this amazing connection to my roots and all the traditions that come with this festival.

The whole process of creating this piece was honestly a blast! I started by sketching out Maa Lakshmi and the other deities on the sora, trying to capture their beauty and grace. And then came the fun part – bringing it to life with colors! For this painting I used acrylic colours. I went all out with bright blues, greens, and reds, and it was so satisfying to watch it transform into a colorful celebration of Goddess Lakshmi.

I also recorded the entire drawing process and uploaded it to my YouTube channel, Ankita Drawss. It’s always a thrill to share my artworks with you all! In the video, you can see how I took a simple terracotta plate and turned it into something beautiful that captures the essence of Kojagari Purnima. Let me know how you like it : )
